What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website can save in your browser. They're used for all sorts of things: remembering what's in a shopping basket, keeping you signed in, counting visitors or tracking which adverts you've seen.
Under UK law, a website has to ask your permission before setting any cookie that isn't strictly necessary for something you've asked it to do.
The cookies we use
None. This website doesn't set any cookies, first-party or third-party.
| Type of cookie | Used on this website? |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | No |
| Analytics and statistics | No |
| Advertising and tracking | No |
| Social media and embedded content | No |
Our enquiry form doesn't need cookies either. It protects itself against spam in other ways, which our privacy policy describes.
Fonts, icons and scripts
Many websites load their fonts, icons and code libraries from other companies' servers, which means those companies can see that you visited. We don't. Everything this website needs to display a page is stored on our own server, so opening a page doesn't send your details to Google Fonts, content delivery networks or anyone else.
There are no embedded videos, maps, social media feeds or "share" buttons on the site, so none of those can set cookies either.
What your browser may still store
Your browser keeps its own cache of files from websites you visit, such as images and stylesheets, so pages load faster next time. This is a normal part of how browsers work rather than something we set, and it isn't used to identify or track you. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Links to other websites
Some pages link to other websites. For example, our contact page links to Google Maps. If you follow a link like that, the other website may set its own cookies, and its own cookie and privacy policies apply.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or anything else that uses non-essential cookies, we'll ask for your consent before setting them and update this page first. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
Managing cookies in your browser
Even though we don't use cookies, you may want to control them on other websites. Every major browser lets you see, delete and block cookies:
- Chrome and Edge: open Settings, then look under Privacy, search and services (Edge) or Privacy and security (Chrome) for cookies and site data.
- Firefox: open Settings, choose Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: on a Mac, open Safari's Settings and choose Privacy. On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, then Safari.
Menu names change from time to time, so if you can't find these options, your browser's help pages will have the current steps. The Information Commissioner's Office also explains cookies and your choices at ico.org.uk.
